Privacy Policy
Effective 18 October 2026 · Last updated 18 October 2026
This policy explains what we collect when you join the waitlist, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about it.
Who we are
This website is operated by OT Scribbles Pty Ltd (ACN 697 746 615), based in Brisbane, Queensland. It introduces our upcoming collection of everyday products and lets people join a waitlist to hear more.
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website. We have written it with the Australian Privacy Principles as our guide.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- your email address, which is required
- your name, if you choose to share it.
We also record the date and time you joined, that you signed up through this website, which form you used (the pop-up or the form on the home page) and the website address you were on.
We don’t ask for health information or other sensitive information, and we ask that you don’t include it.
This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like most online services, our website host and database provider may automatically record technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, when your device connects to them.
How we collect it
We collect your details directly from you when you submit a waitlist form. Joining is voluntary, and you can browse the website without giving us any personal information.
Why we collect it and how we use it
We use your details to:
- understand interest in the upcoming collection
- send you updates about the brand, product development and launch, including when products become available
- reply to you if you contact us.
Joining the waitlist doesn’t commit you to buying anything.
Email updates
We will only send updates to people who have joined the waitlist. You can ask us to stop at any time by emailing info@otscribbles.com.au, and we will stop sending them. Any marketing emails we send will identify us and tell you how to unsubscribe.
How we store and protect it
Your details are stored in an online database provided by Supabase. The waitlist form sends them over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
The database is set up so this website can add entries to the waitlist but can’t read them, which means visitors can’t view the list. Access to the list is limited to people who manage our Supabase account.
The same waitlist also holds sign-ups from our product testing website.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, but no method of storing or sending information online is completely secure.
Service providers
We use these providers to run the website and the waitlist:
- Supabase stores the waitlist.
- Vercel hosts the website and delivers its pages, and may process technical information such as IP addresses in its logs.
We don’t currently use an email service for the waitlist. If we start using one to send updates, we will update this policy.
Who can access it and when it may be disclosed
Your details can be accessed by Zahra Chothia and anyone authorised to help run the business. We may disclose personal information to the service providers listed above so they can provide their services, and where we are required or authorised to by law.
Overseas storage and processing
Supabase and Vercel are based outside Australia and operate infrastructure in a number of countries, so your information may be stored or processed overseas.
How long we keep it
We haven’t set a fixed retention period. We keep waitlist details for as long as they are needed for the purposes in this policy. You can ask us to remove your details at any time by contacting us.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. There’s no charge to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can look into it. Tell us what happened and how you would like it resolved, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may be able to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we start sending email updates or launch the collection. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
